After numerous attempts to fix the issue, I decided to install Ubuntu. If Windows isn't working, let's switch to another operating system. However, the PC crashed during installation, freezing completely. I'm unsure what's causing the problem—HDD, memory, or processor? Please help, this is really my only chance. My specs are: CPU AMD RYZEN 3200G, RAM GIGABYTE A320M-S2H, 1X8GB DDR4 at 3200MHz, PSU EVGA 600W, GPU ASUS PHOENIX GTX 1050 TI with 4GB RAM.
The problem appears to be individuals claiming “the computer posts fine so it must be something unrelated to post. What’s the most useless, non-post-related piece of junk that isn’t involved?” This perspective is correct about 99% of the time. Most responses seem to follow the idea of removing Windows as a likely cause. Seems that step has been taken. We’re still working on software next. Fixing it is usually cheaper than replacing parts. Hardware tends to be the bigger issue. The next move is to remove any other software components that aren’t part of post. Things like drivers and BIOS versions (which I admit are post-related, though maybe only partially). If those come out clean, it’s time to replace the parts with a budget option. A new CMOS battery could be a good start—it’s not perfect, but it’s inexpensive and might help. Most hardware is affected by post, though not all of it. Hard drives are an example.
These remarks highlight why @ShrimpBrime stands out compared to me—I never considered it, yet it makes sense.
Consider turning off the core performance enhancement. Intel processors seem to offer a way to maintain consistent voltage and frequency, while I’m not certain AMD provides the same feature.
They’re really clever. The “update the bios” and CMOS battery adjustment also reset everything to basic settings, which didn’t address the “what if basic settings don’t work for this specific hardware” concerns. That approach didn’t cover the deeper issues. A much higher level of thinking is needed.
Dynamic is CPU - This setting should be raised. SOC handles IO controller (Infinity Fabric/Memory controller). I’m not sure about the CPU v-core tweaks, it might differ from my Asus. The best approach is to pick the offset if available. Positive + 0.05v (or less based on what it offers).
