It's not always a Windows issue, but it's hard to figure out where to get help. When I connect a USB 2.0 device (not a keyboard or mouse), my computer freezes and the apps stop working. Once I unplug it, things return to normal. This only happens with USB 2.0, not USB 3.0. I also tried connecting it to a USB 3.0 port because that one isn't available. Can someone assist me?

Would you like to inspect the connection at the port and use compressed air to remove any blockages? Repeat the same steps for the problematic port.

It seems there might be a short to ground, and if the rear USB works, it could help confirm my idea.
