PC powercycles happens due to RAM issues.
my new build was completed yesterday and i was aiming for a memory speed of 3600, eventually it worked. but while playing the game the pc shut down while i was gaming and all temperatures stayed normal. so i went back to the bios, confirmed my ram was back to factory settings, turned off DOCP, and restarted. this time the pc didn’t reboot itself. what might be causing this? specs: amd ryzen 3600 stock cooler, asus tuf gaming x570 plus, wifi asus rog strix radeon rx 5700 x5700 gaming oc edition, 8gb corsair vengeance, 16gb ddr4, 3600mhz psu: sharkoon, wpm 650w, 80 plus gold rated monitor: samung hg70, 1440p, 144hz, 1ms response time. i’m not sure if it’s important to mention on the motherboard. i had 2 eps connectors (8 pin and a 4 pin), only connected the 8 pin and didn’t use the 4 pin.
the 4 pin eps connection isn't the problem. i plan to test one stick at a time using docp to identify the crash point. if that doesn't work, the issue might be elsewhere. additionally, could you clarify what the dram voltage is during docp operation?
The build runs smoothly at 3600Mhz. Did you just activate DOCP? No other BIOS settings were changed.
