I've noticed my PC is getting too hot. When I start it up, the CPU hits 90°C or higher and gradually drops but stays above 70°C while idle. Running any game triggers overheating, pushing temps to 100°C. This leads to lower frame rates and even shutdowns. I changed the thermal paste, cleaned the fans, but I'm unsure what else works. System details: CPU i7-12700K, cooler Lian Li Galahad 240 AIO, motherboard MSI PRO Z690-A, RAM Corsair VENGEANCE RGB 32GB DDR4-3600, storage Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5", video MSI RTX 3080 Ti, case LIAN LI LANCOOL II MESH with fans, power supply Corsair RM850 W, and I'm using Windows 11.

Cooler seems improperly secured or likely malfunctioning (failed pump, blocked passage...)

Another approach involves the contact frame model that tackles a vulnerability in the 1700 socket (alternative options exist as well).

Verify the pump operation by observing RPM readings via software such as HWinfo and checking for fluid flow through the pipes.

You check your records to confirm the change. If you re-mounted it, note the details and compare them to see if everything matches.

I'm not sure which value to look at in HWiNFO. There's a CPU one and a pump one. Both are running.

Inspect the port where the pump cable connects. Notice if the fluid flows in one tube more than the other. Does the warmer tube show any signs of movement?

I don't feel liquid moving through the tubes but one is definitely hotter than the other.
