pc over kill?
pc over kill?
someone has a pc that performs well when you push settings to the maximum in a game. If yes, what hardware do they use and what kinds of games do they enjoy?
this appears to be an unusual question. i thought I'd experienced some game engines behaving oddly when the framerate becomes too high, causing frames to drop unexpectedly because of bouncing against the engine's frame limit. in those cases, either stabilizing the framerate or adjusting the settings helped.
it requires more cpu and gpu power with improved frame rates
before hitting the maximum settings and increasing everything it was mostly using just cpu and gpu, and frame rates were significantly lower
i find it strange—it doesn’t perform well until you turn things up... it seems like the cpu and gpu are urging us to give them real work instead of wasting time
the gpu might not be working properly because the current workload was too low.
It's likely that missing updates for specific titles caused this issue before, so it makes sense it could reappear
Usually plays CS:go and sometimes loses
Equipment: mostly CS:go, 12 core 3900x, RTX 2070
On low settings it seems to be just overpowering? Haha
