Set up a new PC over the weekend and everything appears to function properly. However, occasionally when I check GPU-Z, the GPU's bus interface seems stuck at "x2 4.0" even though it supports "x16 4.0". It feels like a matter of chance whether my system boots with the higher or lower version. I tried opening the GPU-Z interface by clicking the question mark, refreshing the data, but it still shows x2. Some users say GPU-Z isn't always accurate, but I consistently notice big differences in FPS and occasional micro-lags, which usually prompts me to verify the bus interface again. (which often does). Another observation is that my 3DMark score is significantly lower than typical averages—between 900 and 1300 points. I've tried several fixes: re-seating RAM, cleaning the GPU's golden pins, inspecting the CPU socket for bent pins, and adjusting the PCIe setting to "Gen4" instead of "Auto" in the BIOS.
It might help to remove the GPU and reinsert it. Occasionally, simple fixes work best. The issue seems to be that the system isn't detecting the full slot, which could mean a faulty connection inside the slot or the CPU socket.
