Hello, I have a serious issue with my gaming setup. My PC is a decent gaming machine, but it’s not performing as expected. For instance, when I play GTA V a lot, I only get around 50 frames per second on the lowest settings at 1080p, even though the rig should handle high settings smoothly at 60 FPS. The same goes for Planetside 2. All drivers are up to date, the power supply is 600W, and the GPU is an Asus Strix GTX 960 with 4GB VRAM. I’m using an FX 8350 CPU, 8GB RAM at 1337MHz, running Windows 7 Cooler with Hyper EVO 212.
Your CPU is limiting the performance of your GPU. In games like GTA V, it depends more on single-core speed than multi-core capabilities. Additionally, your RAM isn't up to the task.
You tease me while I’m perfectly correct about your CPU limitations in those demanding titles.
CPU RAM and GPU specs aren't specified in your message.
For your FX 6350 4.5, running GTA V on GTX 770 at high settings (50/60 FPS) is possible but may require optimization.
What? regardless you should be able to do high settings in all games, a 960 is not that much of a slouch. Here is my PC.
