Hello, everyone.
I've been using this PC for almost ten months now, and from the very beginning I've encountered this issue. When the problem arises, the system becomes extremely slow (the FPS drops significantly no matter what game I'm playing) and if I try to press alt + tab or quit the game, it crashes. It also fails after a while if I don't take any action. This problem usually happens after 10 to 20 minutes of playing Minecraft and within about 30 minutes of Hearthstone. It also occurred when I was learning Blender and frequently used alt tab while watching YouTube on Opera GX. It's important to note that this is my first PC and I'm completely new to any PC-related topics.

Here are the specifications:
APU: Ryzen 3 3200G with integrated Vega 8 graphics
Motherboard: Colorful AB350M-K PRO V14
RAM: 2x Geil Super Luce RGB 3000MHz
Power Supply: Corsair VS500
SSD: Kingston 240GB

I found a YouTube video that offered a solution: adjusting the power plan in the control panel under Energy Options. After clicking on "changed advanced power settings," I changed the minimum and maximum processor usage from 100% to 99%. [Refer to the image below for reference].

After making this change, the issue was resolved, but it significantly affected performance. The PC feels slower and I experience much lower FPS in any game.

Some people suggested updating the BIOS, but I haven't found any tutorials for this specific motherboard. It seems the BIOS version is newer than the latest one available on the official manufacturer's website. I'm quite worried and fear I might damage the PC if I make a mistake during the installation.

How can I fix this without using the power plan method? Is it even possible?

Are you aware of the type of CPU cooler you have? It's likely it isn't set up properly, which may lead the processor to slow down and result in poor performance or crashes.

It's the one that came with the APU, the Wraith Stealth. I think it's set up properly, since I haven't experienced overheating, though I'm not sure.
