I recently entered the PC community after assembling my first machine a little more than a week ago. Everything worked smoothly until this morning when I tried to turn it on and it didn’t boot properly, connecting to the monitor as well. I saw a bright white light next to the CPU on my motherboard. I searched online and spoke with a friend who knows a lot about PCs, who thinks my BIOS/CMOS might be faulty and causing the issue. I’ve reset the CMOS, unplugged everything and tried reconnecting, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Consult the motherboard's User Guide to understand what the white LED indicates. Assess whether its activation suggests a specific issue and note the color it shows.

I looked over the manual and found it mentions that my CPU isn’t being detected or is failing. However, it seems odd since I was just using my PC last night and everything worked normally. After shutting it off, what could be the possible reasons for this issue?

The CPU might have just reached its end of life and stopped working, even before that. Consider removing and reapplying the thermal paste.
