A 2600 might not be worthwhile... a 3600 could offer a solid FPS increase in theory... or you could hold off a few months until the next generation Ryzen chips arrive.

If your performance struggles are due to GPU limitations, then it applies. That’s why it ties to GPU constraints—not just processing power. Correlation doesn’t equal cause. If your system is CPU-heavy, resolution becomes irrelevant. Also, a 2K display isn’t the same as a 1440p one.
