That’s a new idea I hadn’t considered. I just connected the Clear CMOS pins on the motherboard, but I’m unsure how to verify it works now.

Did you remove the CMOS battery prior to bridging? If not, do this: remove the CMOS, let it sit for 5 minutes, then reconnect it and attempt again.

Remove the battery, reinsert it carefully, and wait for the BIOS to refresh. Disconnecting the two pins isn't always reliable for a proper reset. Be cautious—removing the GPU might also be necessary because it could interfere with the CMOS area.

Hey, I had a trip before I could resolve the problem, but it ended up being a dead CPU and motherboard—really frustrating.
