Hey there, I’m facing a tricky problem with my PC and I’m running low on ideas. Specs: Ryzen 7 1700, Radeon 6600, 16 GB RAM, ASUS Prime B350-PLUS, M.2 NVMe (boot drive), Thermaltake Smart 700W PSU (just replaced), RZ608 Wi-Fi 6E PCIe card with Bluetooth.

Problem: My M.2 NVMe (the boot drive) keeps failing to show up in BIOS after crashes caused by CPU overheating during gaming. I gave it a shot with better thermal paste, but now it’s behaving oddly. Sometimes it shows up randomly, disappears after turning off the PC, and works fine on another machine. After resetting or re-seating it, it still doesn’t appear in BIOS.

What I’ve tried:
- Re-seated the M.2 several times
- Cleared CMOS and left PC unplugged overnight
- Reinstalled BIOS to the latest version
- Switched PSU to eliminate power issues

Strangeness: A red blinking light appears near all PCIe slots. I can’t recall it always flashing before Bluetooth issues, or the Wi-Fi card acting strange sometimes (it works after an HDD is unplugged). It might be a sign the motherboard is failing, possibly affecting the PCIe controller.

Any suggestions? Before jumping to replace the motherboard, let me know if there’s anything else I should check. Thanks for your help!

P.S. My English isn’t great, so I’m not sure how to organize all this clearly.

Check for any signs of burning or melting on the motherboard. It’s hard to confirm it’s only a motherboard issue without seeing the damage.

You determine it by analyzing patterns and evidence linking the issue to the observed failures.
