PC malfunctions unexpectedly when interacting with specific devices.
Hello. My new PC is ready, with these specifications: Ryzen 5 5600X B550 Steel Legend G.Skill Ripjaws V, 64 GB RAM (two 32 GB modules), DDR4-3600 CL18, and an AMD RX 6700 XT EVGA SuperNOVA GA 850 W. It’s fully modular ATX and comes with an 80+ Gold certified power supply. I’ve updated the BIOS to version 1.20 via the official ASRock site.
When certain tasks run—like launching Warzone or Dead by Daylight—I experience crashes, often without a blue screen, just an immediate reboot. Booting GTA, Rust, CSGO works fine except for occasional issues when using the back button in games. Overclocking hasn’t been done, and I’m using the default driver version (Driver 21.50.21.01-220331a-378260E-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition).
I’m considering updating the BIOS but want to avoid more problems. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
I believe the problem might stem from only connecting the 8pin CPU plug, not the extra 4-pin one. You thought you only needed the additional connector if you were overclocking and wanted more power, but maybe it helped temporarily. However, after changing settings in DBD again, the issue returned. It seems like power or stability issues are still present.
