Well... that sounds like a solid plan to start with. I’d like to explore a few other approaches too. Try 2933 mhz with XMP turned on and manually set the frequency. In the timing menu, make sure "power down mode" is off. This often stabilizes the K41 code and prevents the restart or hangs that follow. (Is this your original OC? XMP activated?) This tends to be one of the trickiest parts to troubleshoot—it can involve any hardware combination. The board and memory at lower specs are particularly tricky. EVGA models with uncertain quality come into play. (We don’t know the exact model.) It might just be that the memory is throttling during idle, and the system isn’t handling it well. I’ve helped several users replace parts—fixes ranged from CPU to GPU, boards, RAM, or even the drive. I usually set power to maximum. I avoid letting storage sit idle because I don’t want to wait for it to spin up. Keep going, you’ll find the solution.
XMP is active with a 3000mhz spec; RAM performance should fall within 1.25-1.35GHz. The VRM is set to regular mode at 300mhz for stability and optimal voltage range. I’ll do my best. Also, the EVGA supports 600W with an 80Plus rating—it's a bit basic, but I should have ensured at least 200W headroom when sizing the PSU. My PC will likely draw around 464W. I recently came across an article about kernel 41... It might even relate to an audio driver. Right now I'm using a Logitech G Pro X with a wired USB sound card and no Ghub installed. I believe it shouldn't cause any issues, but in Device Manager I see some devices that aren't registered and don't display their names. I didn't install Ghub just for audio improvements—mainly for bass and loudness settings. What I recall is that when I used Ghub with the same system and a different M.2 drive, those enhancements disappeared. The only adjustments I could make were through Ghub's equalizer, but nothing else.
The uncertainty is about whether it's resolved, and if so, I'd appreciate audio improvements.
It functions properly now, but it stopped working due to an issue with a certain HID device. Currently, I only have a mouse, keyboard, and headphones connected—no other devices.
