I assembled a fresh PC around a year ago. It performed well until roughly a month back when I swapped out my graphics card. Now, games frequently crash, it displays blue screens, and it lags—nothing changed except the GPU. I noticed the UPS power wasn’t sufficient, but that didn’t resolve all problems.

Details: Motherboard – ASUS U Z690-e, WiFi RAM, G-Skill Trident Z 6000, 64GB XMP, CPU – Intel 13700KF overclocked to 5.8GHz, SSD – Samsung Pro 1TB M.2 PCIe, GPU – EVGA 3090, PS – Corsair RM1000.

Anyone have suggestions? I reinstalled Windows, reset overclocks, applied new thermal paste, re-seated RAM and GPU, and ran a Windows integrity check from the command prompt. All drivers and Windows are current. Stress tests passed, Cinebench scores normal. Only blue screens appear when trying actions like toggling memory integrity (first two times it worked on the third try). The system also tends to reboot randomly during games without warning.

Have you attempted to run it without XMP? What kind of blue screen issues are appearing?

I'll keep you updated if it occurs again. I'm attempting to disable XMP. Thank you for your response.

The XMP might behave differently over time due to internal changes. You can still use XMP, but setting the clock below 6000MHz could affect performance. Leaving it as auto is usually safest unless you notice problems.

It's not clear what you're dealing with. Just accept it and adjust accordingly. Using xmp and slightly lowering the frequency might help. Consider trying 5600.
