Your computer experienced a pop and splash sound, which initially suggested a capacitor failure. However, your electrician confirmed everything was fine after checking voltages and part voltages. You were able to play games without issues, and there were no burn marks on the back. It seems the audio component might have popped, but it wasn’t loud enough to disturb you. No leaks were found during the inspection, so it likely wasn’t an AIO issue.

This situation seems plausible. Failing capacitors leaking and releasing air would match the description. Components could remain fully functional due to backup arrangements in the capacitor banks, or because the specific capacitor isn't essential. You wouldn't likely detect issues by checking voltages, or only during abrupt load changes, since capacitors typically handle those situations. It's possible it's still a working part even if everything appears normal.
