I want to note that I recently had to replace my power supply because I returned home to find my PC not powered on. Upon turning it on, I heard a popping noise near the PSU and detected smoke. Before the replacement, the system had no power at all. Now it starts up but only restarts every 30 seconds and shows no display. I attempted to replace the thermal paste, charged the CMOS battery, used a stick of thermal paste, and verified all cables.
So the previous PSU probably didn't include the motherboard anymore.
I don’t know how to tell if the motherboard is functioning properly. The lights are on and the fans are running.
Sadly, this information isn't very helpful. It only indicates a +5V voltage source, which doesn't necessarily confirm the motherboard's condition. It's not a simple on/off switch. What previous power supply were you using?
Attempted it but it repeats continuously without showing anything.
