I've been away for roughly a month and my computer stayed off. Now it's running sluggishly on all devices—screen, mouse, keyboard, and audio. Initially, only the mouse would freeze during intense games, but now even basic functions are affected. My system is Windows 10 with recent updates, NVIDIA GTX 960 GPU, and an i5-6600 CPU that's already current. I haven't experienced issues in safe mode with network connectivity. Thanks in advance!

You're referring to something not powered from its source, correct? Did the monitor get unplugged as well? It's possible a surge could have reached it through the display cable even if the monitor wasn't directly connected. Other devices that remained plugged in might have contributed. Consider a CMOS reset option, though it seems to hint at a low-quality CMOS cell. If the CMOS cell is older than five to six years, replacing it could be a good move.
It's possible the issue stems from a failing CMOS battery after being idle. You might need to check or adjust your BIOS settings, including RAM timings. The typical batteries used are CR2032; if unavailable, CR2025 can be used but they have shorter life. Updated September 9, 2022 by An0maly_76 Added more details
Additionally, I experienced three instances of "DPC_Watchdog_Violation," during which my computer would completely freeze and then display a BSOD. This might be connected to the issue you're noticing.
