Have you tried it across various games or is this about a specific title? Ensure the game settings don’t limit FPS.

What is your present frame rate? Are you using V-Sync while playing? This will limit the frame rate to your display refresh rate.

I have roughly 85 to 120 frames per second. If I'm lucky I can hit 144fps in BeamNG, while CS Go usually ranges from 140 to 250 fps. In BeamNG I use VSync, but in CS Go it doesn't work.
