I built my own PC with a B550M motherboard. To install Windows 11 I needed secure boot enabled. I didn’t do enough preparation, turned off the CSM, and now it won’t start. I removed the CMOS battery and tried connecting the pins, but that didn’t help. I also attempted a BIOS update via Q-flash, but it failed. Could you get some advice or let me know if this setup is faulty?

Removing CMOS restores the system to its standard UEFI startup. Disassemble and reassemble using only essential parts. The processor, cooling solution, one memory module, and a graphics card are required—unless your device includes built-in video or an APU.

I've already attempted it. The CMOS reset doesn't appear to work. I've also tried rebuilding it with minimal settings, but still no improvement.

Using a separate GPU instead of the built-in one doesn't function properly. This issue arises on some motherboards when CSM is turned off, though replacing the CMOS battery usually resolves it.

I thought that too, but didn't get it. Thanks still.

What interface are you connecting to the GPU? Is it a DP port? You may want to test HDMI too, since it has helped in some situations or if your GPU uses an older VGA or analog connection.
