I recently assembled a gaming PC and felt confident about the process, yet faced several challenges. The initial motherboard failed to boot, leading me to suspect it might be defective. Today I replaced it and am now experiencing some issues—my computer starts up normally, but the case fans remain inactive, even the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 I purchased. I've checked all fan connections and headers, but nothing seems to work. The BIOS indicates fans are off at 0 RPM despite settings suggesting otherwise. It appears the CPU heats up quickly without adequate cooling, which is unusual since the system powers on without trouble. I also noticed that other fans didn’t activate with the previous board, though I can’t rule out a hardware issue entirely. This situation seems quite puzzling; it’s hard to believe every fan header wouldn’t work on a brand-new machine. I’m hoping someone familiar can share similar experiences and solutions. I’d rather not disassemble the PC again unless there’s a real reason. It’s strange how the fans just don’t turn on.
