PC is showing a blue screen and freezing problems—help identifying the cause.
My PC has been showing blue screens, freezing, or a black display for about a month. At first I thought the power supply was the issue, but after replacing it, it wasn’t there anymore. Then I assumed it was the graphics card and removed it, which caused another blue screen three times. Now, when I restart, I don’t see any display at all and have to keep restarting. Sometimes after a freeze, a red pattern appears on the top left of my monitor. Once I put the GPU back in, it starts showing a blue screen with error code 0x000000d1 and nvlddmkm. After restarting into safe mode, it freezes multiple times—starting with the Windows logo, then the motherboard splash, and finally freezing repeatedly. I used a tool called bluescreenview which pointed to ntoskrnl.exe as the likely culprit. My RAM tests with memtest showed no problems. Could you clarify if this is happening now or was it before?
