my configuration: Ryzen 5 7600x3d ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super Dual White Overclocked Dual Fan ASUS B650-PLUS TUF GAMING WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000 PC5-48000 CL36 MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply Cooler Master Hyper 212 Halo CPU Air Cooler WD Black SN770 2TB SSD 112L TLC NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe 4.0 x4 I assembled this system using components from MicroCenter and it hasn’t performed well. It frequently freezes, often during startup or when switching programs. I’ve swapped out the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and SSD. Connected my wife’s 750W power unit, removed the GPU, and used her RAM from her machine—still experiencing crashes. I’m unsure what’s causing the problems and don’t know what to try next. I’ve tried everything without updating drivers. My brother built a similar rig using the black parts and it’s running smoothly. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. The system doesn’t generate minidump files, making it hard to share a dump file either. The most recent crash displayed a CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED error, which was quite alarming.

I'm setting up the operating system using its built-in files. Where did you obtain the installation disk or source?

I developed a Windows installation utility on Microsoft’s platform. I transferred the same USB drive to my brother’s PC. I executed chkdsk and it reported no issues.

Yes, if you're comfortable running commands, you can attempt an SFC scan.

Does the system experience crashes in BIOS? If not, would you like me to adjust the BIOS settings? The WD Black requires a firmware update for compatibility with Windows 11 24H2. Have you updated your SSD firmware?

I’m not sure, I’ll look into it and refresh it if needed tomorrow!

I refreshed the bios and updated the firmware for my SSD. It appears to have resolved the crashing issues. I haven't experienced any crashes since then! Thanks!
