What leads you to suspect it could be the PSU? (thinking about the symptoms like system restart, stuttering lasting 20-30 minutes, and this only happening with your new build). I’m not able to afford a replacement right now (my budget was spent on the CPU/mobo/ram upgrade), so I’m trying to make a confident decision if I buy something new.
For more context, I put the PC into sleep mode last night and didn’t notice any stuttering for about 5 minutes when I woke it up this afternoon. After restarting, the stuttering returned as expected.
In Device Manager, I checked View -> Resources by type -> Interrupt request. There are 7 pages of IRQs, with 5 labeled “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System” (55-511). I’m not sure if this is typical, but these are nearly 500 IRQs from that category and it seems to point something specific. I’ve attached the first 3 of those (the rest are in between, but the 55-511s match exactly).
The PSU might not provide sufficient power, which could lead to shutdown, possibly contributing to the issue. Regarding stuttering, it seems to stem from a rogue task or driver.
