Over the past couple of months, my download speed has stayed around 1mb/s, which is extremely slow. The internet feels very sluggish, making it hard to use my PC for anything except gaming or basic browsing. My phone works fine at about 20mb/s. I suspected the adapter was the issue, so I replaced it, but the problem persisted. Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Assessing the velocity at the netfeed could provide valuable insights. It's possible the ISP is involved. Understanding the full data journey is essential. A network's reliability depends on its weakest point.

Try linking the adapter to another USB port, I connect mine to the alternate USB port and it provides a slight improvement. Attempt to use the USB 3.0/2.0 slot next.

I owned a USB device and tried that method before switching to a PCI adapter.

They mentioned the issue starts on the PC, but I’m seeing 20mb/s on my phone.

You're seeing 20mb/s on your phone, which is higher than typical speeds. Check if there are any network restrictions or issues affecting performance.

Check if your device is connected to the nearby WiFi network or using cellular data. Both options are possible.
