So, all of a sudden, since the weekend effectively, my pc freezes then crashes whenever I try to play Warzone. I've checked my GPU is upto date, looked at Task Manager ™ to see if I have too much stuff running etc...and I'm stumped. I've been playing Warzone with absolutely zero issues for over a year and now it will freeze then crash within a minute of loading into the actual game proper. Obviously, my assumption was it's the game. But, now I'm having trouble loading Apex. It starts to load up and I see the small box with the anti cheat logo and bar filling up, Steam says it's running, TM says it's running...but it never actually loads and stays on my desktop home page. Then i get the box saying this program won't load do you want to close etc... The strange thing is, I can play my other games with no issue. I've played, Project Cars, Diablo 3, Hades, Back 4 Blood These are all played offline or with a single player/co-op focus, so could it be something about these online multiplayer games and their anti cheat or something? I don't run mods or hacks or anything, so could it be something with my Windows protection that is causing an issue? I don't know why it has suddenly become an issue. I'm on the latest drivers etc...and Windows update is all up to date, and scanned and repaired Warzone last night to no avail. My C drive is almost filled, but otherwise I have space on all my hard drives, my temps are ok, no malware as far as I can tell. I'm stumped. Any suggestions, guys and gals? I've since confirmed it is specifically Dev Error 6065 (Direct X) that is causing the problem, but Googling it doesn't really provide much help. I'm hoping someone has had the same problem and found a solution...hopefully that doesn't involve re-downloading the entire game of Warzone. (Specs are i5 10400f, 2060, 16gb RAM)

Assess the condition of the hard drives or open the Control Panel, then Admin Tools, Event Viewer to check for any Red Xs, focusing on the Windows Logs > System section.

Adjust the layout to free up space, avoid red indicators. It seems many games struggle when the OS drive is nearly full, but it’s not the exact same problem. Yes, review the event log and Device Manager.

It seems the problem appears suddenly without warning. Since Warzone works fine, the issue might be with your game files or save data. A full download and reinstall could resolve it. This could be the most severe situation if other games function normally.

That's why it appears as the final point in the link I shared. Have you tried alternative solutions like turning off full screen optimization or running the blizzard repair? Also, did you check updating the BIOS, chipset drivers, and DDU drivers? (Apologies if this was mentioned before)

So, now I'm getting a message about Paging File Error and it still crashes. The weird part is I have no issues until I actually try to load from the lobby menu area into the actual game. As soon as it finds a game, be it regular BR or Payload or whatever, it goes to load me in and freezes...then crashed straight back to Blizzard. Another weird thing is just as it's about to crash my screen goes brighter, just a bit. I wondered, on playstation you cannot update a game unless you have almost twice the storage space of the actual update. If your update is 20gb you need closer to 40. Could it be something similar, as Warzone is a huge file size already? My internal storage and external HDD have space, and it has never been an issue before the weekend - however, my C drive is literally full, with about 250mb left.

Consider adjusting storage or relocating the game to a different drive. A fresh installation might also resolve the problem. It seems like this could be the root cause.

The entire C: drive appears to be damaged. Please clear the Temp folder and the Windows\Temp directory.
