PC from 7 years old with i7 processor is stuck in boot loop.
Hi,
I own a system with these specifications -
Intel i7 - 6700k
Gigabyte GA-Z170-D3H Mobo
16 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 x 2
Zotac GTX970 Graphics
Adata M.2 250gb
Cooler Master 600W PSU
I've been using this setup for seven years. Occasionally, the system would reboot unexpectedly without any BSOD, so I didn't pay much attention as it was infrequent.
Lately, it has been rebooting randomly and getting stuck in a boot loop. The boot screen appears, and it restarts automatically. I would turn off the power for a few minutes and then it would start normally again. When powered on, it operates quite well until suddenly it restarts.
Currently, it's stuck in a boot loop. It powers on and reboots every 5 to 8 seconds.
I've attempted the following solutions -
1. Replaced the CMOS battery to reset values.
2. Switched to a new PSU to test, but the issue persisted.
3. Disassembled everything except the PSU, MOBO, and CPU - it still switches on and now reboots every 2 seconds.
Please advise what to do! The system was functioning properly (except for rare reboots) until recently. No changes have been made, and now it's stuck in a boot loop.
gpu remains unchanged? without angpu the pc won't function. your cpu lacks an internal gpu, and the motherboard's ports are turned off.
