Hello everyone, this is the first time I encountered this issue while playing KCD 2. I left my PC running while eating with my family. When I returned, the PC was turned off and then turned back on. After about 45 minutes of gameplay, I noticed micro stutters, and after roughly 20 seconds the system became unresponsive. I had to reset it from the PSU, uninstalled the game thinking it was a bug, but the problem persisted. When I switched to Mount and Blade: Bannerlord II, the same issue appeared after about 45 minutes of playtime. The BIOS was up to date, I reinstalled the drivers, but the error continued (it hadn’t been happening before KCD 2, and temperatures were normal).

My system specs are as follows:
- GIGABYTE B550 GAMING X V2 rev 1.3
- 32GB 3200 MHZ CL 16 GSKILL RIPJAWS RAM
- RX 6700 XT XFX SPEEDSTER QICK
- Ryzen 5 5600X
- Kingston 1TB NV3
- 650W XIGMATEK X-SERIES PSU

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I need to reset this PSU from the power supply unit. It seems like it shouldn't fit in a PC or build. Maybe look for a well-built 650W unit and try again.

It seems the issue is consistent. I plan to recreate it with Task Manager and Performance Manager. Were there any updates to software or hardware before this happened?

The CPU exceeds 64.5°C threshold and the GPU goes beyond 74°C.

You can check your PSU using software such as OCCT without needing a physical location or person to borrow it.

Is it ready-made? If you created it yourself, you’ve just discovered a crucial tip: always avoid cutting corners on the power supply unit. It’s essential for your PC. If it’s already assembled, don’t purchase any additional components from anyone who sold it to you.

It was a prebuilt setup I purchased seven years ago from a trustworthy seller in Turkey. Currently, I intend to acquire a Corsair RMx series PSU.

If you encounter issues with your Corsair RMx, it's safe to assume the power supply isn't the cause. These are some of the top PSUs available.

Yes, you can verify your PSU's wattage with tools like OCCT to ensure it matches your needs before purchasing.
