My computer freezes unexpectedly during gaming sessions. I've tried various games, but they still freeze after some time. After that, it shuts down and prompts for a proper boot device. When I restart it myself, it works fine.

I think it's a good idea to back up all the important personal data from that drive.
Next, I'd purchase a new SSD (they're quite affordable nowadays), and then set up the operating system on the new drive.
I'm hoping this will make things easier...
