Hey everyone! I’m facing a recurring issue where my PC freezes unexpectedly while playing games. The only fix seems to be performing a hard reset. It mostly occurs during gaming sessions, not when I was doing 3D modeling or rendering. Details: -GPU: PNY RTX 3060 12Gb -CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-6700 @ 3.40GHz -PSU: Corsair VS 650 -Memory: 4x 16Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400MHz -Motherboard: ASUS Z170-E -Storage: Kingston SSD 240GB, NVME 128GB, HD 2TB I’ve tried several things so far—SFC scan, memory tests, virus check, using one, two, three memory modules, and even two new ones from a friend. No temp issues, no logs in Event Viewer, and the benchmark results didn’t show anything. The only change I made was updating my memory cards. It seems the problem started after upgrading them.

Updated my status. GPU-Z shows the GPU running near 100% all the time, but drops to just 2% in Task Manager. This makes me suspect a crypto virus might be present. When considering a PC reset, I plan to try it and will share an update once resolved.

The cryptocurrency issue was responsible for the interruptions, glad I found a solution, thanks to 191x7 for bringing up this subject—it really assisted me!
