PC Freezes after overclock
PC Freezes after overclock
Hi. I'm just beginning with overclocking and didn't want to do it for this specific reason, but I did it to improve my GPU's performance.
I increased the core clock by an extra 300 MHz on my 8GB GTX 1080 (1708 MHz base). After that, my PC would freeze and then restart, causing issues.
I'm having trouble accessing MSI Afterburner because it freezes upon login.
Please help.
Power on in safe mode and disable the overclock. Assume you didn’t harm anything, and if your voltage was set to auto before overclocking, it should be okay. But if you changed it to auto and then added a 20%+ boost to your card, things might not go well.
