PC fans spinning and black screen?
The PC started up but displayed a fan error, which I resolved. Once fixed, it booted normally. When trying to log in, I forgot my password; after five minutes the computer froze and I restarted it, but no image appeared again. I plan to replace the old CMOS battery and apply thermal paste.
The new CMOS battery isn't functioning, and the screen remains black. I plan to switch to a different processor and, if unsuccessful, use another motherboard I own.
I tried one stick and it restarted again. The system reported a fan error and I ignored it once more. Since it's Sunday, I went to my aunt for lunch and let the PC run to check if it freezes. Previously, it froze after 10 minutes; if it doesn't freeze, I'll try another RAM.
