I've been facing this problem for roughly two days now. Last night it occurred only once, but today it happened every time I powered on my PC. It made the machine unusable. The issue started suddenly and was quite unexpected. Each time I turned it on, the screen would appear, then the monitor would go black after a second or two, followed by loud fan noise. Looking at various Intel i5 models, options range from the 3.4 GHz 3470 to the 12th Gen 12600K series.
Navigate to Settings via the gear icon in the Start Menu, then select System and choose About. The basic hardware details will appear. It seems somewhat comparable to a few problems I faced, some linked to inconsistent memory that failed tests. Casually, I’d suggest re-seating your RAM and GPU, ensuring all power connections are secure. One of my concerns was a sporadic no-video POST after shutting down for 8-10 seconds during a game, similar to what you mentioned. After reseating the components, everything worked again, but every 8-12 cold starts required another attempt. Suggest clearing CMOS to refresh BIOS settings. The board has two pins at the bottom requiring shorting.
