PC fans increasing their speed without stopping?
Hey everyone, recently my case fans are working really hard when I start a game, and they keep doing so even when I close out of the game. They don’t seem to calm down, whether I’m just browsing the internet or watching YouTube for a few hours. The only solution seems to be restarting my PC, after which they resume as soon as another game starts. Normally my PC stays quiet during gaming sessions, so it’s unclear what’s causing the problem. Also worth noting is that they continue to run even when the PC feels very cool to the touch.
I tried using Fancontrol to investigate, but none of the fans I managed to control appear to be the source of the issue. My PC has a Corsair build with an RTX 3070 and an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X as the CPU.
Anyone have any ideas about what might be going on? It doesn’t seem to damage anything, but the noise bothers me.
