Hello everyone,
Just a quick note about my setup. My PC was functioning well before I relocated it. It was kept in storage—specifically in my closet, wrapped in bubble wrap, with no significant issues like flooding or temperature swings—until I began setting up my new environment. When I finally connected it, the system powered on but didn’t appear on my screen.
I took it to a local repair shop, which identified a failing PSU and faulty RAM. Both were replaced, and the monitor started working. Now, the focus is on how the computer behaves during gaming or stress tests. It may crash or restart intermittently, with varying durations.
Below are all the PC specifications, the steps I’ve followed, and the error codes I’ve encountered. When it restarts, the lights stay on, everything freezes, the screen goes dark, and then it powers back up. During crashes, the whole system shuts down, and a BSOD appears upon reboot.
PC SPECS:
- CPU: Intel i5-9600k
- Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF z390 PLUS (eSports Duo)
- GPU: EVGA 2060
- PSU: Corsair Rm750x Gold
- RAM: 4X8 Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz DDR4
- SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB
- HDD: WDC WD10EADX 1TB NVMe
- Case: Phanteks p400a
- OS: Windows 10 PRO
The games that trigger these issues are mostly Monster Hunter Rise. I’ve noticed crashes or reboots roughly every 2–3 hours. I haven’t tried other titles yet.
Stress tests (OCCT, Prime95, Furmark) completed without errors. CPU testing was attempted twice with the same settings. The system restarted after about 21 minutes on the first test (CPU peak temp: 60°C) and again 3 hours later (58°C). Both times it crashed with a BSOD.
Memory, GPU, and CPU tests also finished cleanly. I’ve logged all error codes and observed patterns in system behavior.
I’m sorry for the lengthy update, but I’ve documented everything to help others.
Thanks!
