Hi, I encountered a problem with my PC recently and wanted to share some details before explaining further. Here are my specifications:
Motherboard: Asus Prime Z390A
CPU: i5 9600K
GPU: RTX 4070
PSU: Corsair TX650M
RAM: G.Skill FlareX DDR4 2400 PC4-19200 16GB 2x8GB CL15
I assembled this system about three years ago, with the GPU being the only change made six months ago. Until now, everything has worked perfectly. One morning, after a normal day, I attempted to boot up the PC. The lights were functioning normally, but the VGA white LED on the motherboard failed to activate, stopping after the RAM orange light turned off. No other check lights remained active, making it hard to determine if the issue was hardware-related. I tried booting without the graphics card, and the same problem occurred. I also reset the BIOS by jumping the CMOS, but the PC still didn’t power up. The only BIOS setting I adjusted was CPU overclocking, which I hadn’t done before. Since then, there have been no issues, and it was two weeks ago.
I want to be clear that I’m no longer experiencing any problems. This was just a recent incident, and I’m reaching out in case anyone has encountered similar issues or has advice for preventing them. Thank you in advance for your help.
It could be that your BIOS might be pending an update. What version are you on? It's possible that the battery would need a replacement. A fresh cell doesn't cost much. As for you clearing of the CMOS, it's possible that the VRM on your motherboard is degrading, or your PSU is unable to deliver power for the overclock or your processor is giving out on said overclock.

The BIOS version is 1302, but I haven't updated it yet. Should I proceed? I'm not an expert, so I want to be careful.
If the issue recurs, I plan to change the battery.
Regarding the OC, after clearing the CMOS, I set it to 1.3 V and it's working properly. That seems manageable.
