It seems the problem might be linked to a GPU issue, especially since the same die and symptoms appear across different components. I've changed the power supply and RAM, but nothing helped. Please verify if your GPU has a vBIOS setting set between options—otherwise, look into the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue folder. There, AMD driver failure and a 'hardware issue' report were found after a previous GPU return to the manufacturer.

It's frustrating when the GPU runs into the same issue on different systems. I even tested it with his Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7800 XT, and the same problem occurred.

I discovered a method to boost adrenaline, adjusted GPU settings to 'Custom' and turned on tuning for all options, without altering the default values. This resulted in BF2042 running smoothly after the previous 2-minute crashes.

Are there any PBO configurations set on the CPU? What were the temperatures like? Are they within typical ranges?

PBO not detected, no testing done yet though I think it shouldn't cause problems. Max hotspot on GPU reached 70°C, CPU max was 65°C—well within normal limits.

I understand. The issue occurred again after applying your solution, whether using the custom cable or the standard PSU cable. However, it didn’t crash this time and ended up shutting down again before rebooting.

I’m working with a short-term solution right now. I’m enabling the undervolt setting in the AMD Adrenalin Tuning area and will maintain this until a driver update is available.
