Hello everyone, recently my PC shut down unexpectedly while I was using it. Once it stopped, I couldn't restart it. After turning on the power button, the fans spun for a brief moment—about 1 to 3 seconds—but then they stopped again. Check out the video I shared: after removing the GPU and swapping RAM modules, the system still wouldn't power up. The issue occurred twice before, and two days ago it completely failed to turn on. I assumed the power supply was faulty (don't worry, it's a solid E9 680W model), so I replaced it with a Pure Power 12M 550W unit. The new PSU arrived yesterday, and after swapping it in, I still didn't see any improvement. Now I suspect the motherboard might be damaged. I'm running a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H board, and I first disconnected everything from the motherboard. Then I only kept the motherboard and CPU cable connected to the PSU, testing again. I tried resetting the BIOS using keyboard buttons and switches, but it didn't help. I'm considering replacing the motherboard with a new AMD5 model and a Ryzen 7 CPU as an upgrade. Anyone have suggestions or advice? I'm at a loss right now and just hoping for a solution. Thanks ahead!

Start by connecting the memory to slot A1. 2nd, verify the cooler is properly seated and secured, and swap it if the paste is dry. Take out the CMOS battery for five minutes or replace it while the power supply is off.

I completed everything except updating the thermal paste. Because the motherboard won't start, the CPU (Intel Core i7-4770K) can't even reach those high temperatures before the machine stops working.
