PC fails to start with both new and existing RAM modules.
I tried changing them one by one again, and on both devices I reached the post screen and managed to enter BIOS. When I powered off the PC and switched to the second slot, things went further than expected. I didn’t get into the post screen yet, but at least the lights changed from CPU to DRAM, though it remained stuck afterward. Picture 1 and 2 shows the BIOS with each RAM stick separately, and picture 3 displays both sticks connected but only the DRAM light shining.
If any adjustment had been activated they would appear red, but because they remain white they are turned off. This means none of the game enhancements are active. The DRAM speed setting always displays the frequency I manually chose; if I switched it to 3200MHz and later changed it back to AUTO, it would show that frequency again.
Also there was something unusual recently that I’m curious about. I went outside with my parents since we had a task, turned off my PC during a Windows update. We spent about two and a half hours outside. When I returned and powered it on, the system didn’t start properly and the CPU light stayed lit. At first I wasn’t sure what to do, thinking maybe it would fix itself or that both RAM sticks might work now. I installed the second stick, but before it could, the light stuck on the DRAM area again and the PC wouldn’t boot. After taking out the second stick, everything worked fine. Anyone have any idea what might have happened?
