PC fails to start unless the CMOS is reset or a backup BIOS is activated following shutdown
Gigabyte z97x mobo with 4690k RAM. Recent upgrades improved performance, but PC struggled with newer games. I adjusted BIOS settings and voltages, but after saving and rebooting it crashed. Restarted multiple times to fix issues. Now I face startup problems—PC powers on, fans run, but no display or input devices. I must turn off power, reset CMOS, reboot via BIOS, then install Windows. If this doesn’t work, I need to re-flash the main BIOS.
