Hi there,
I own an Asus Prime B550-Plus motherboard with two Corsair VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 3200MHz RAM sticks installed. After overclocking the RAM recently, my PC stopped responding. When I turn it on, all the fans begin to spin. I hear a short beep, then a pause followed by a long and three short beeps, then another restart, repeating this pattern continuously.

I’m uncertain if this behavior points to a RAM or GPU issue. My CPU is a Ryzen 3700X and the GPU is an older Nvidia GT 610. So far I’ve tried resetting the CMOS by shutting down the PC, unplugging the power cord, removing the CMOS battery, and shorting the clear CMOS jumper pins with a screwdriver, but nothing has worked.

I’m worried my motherboard might be faulty.
Could you assist me with this problem?
Please let me know if you need more details.
Thank you in advance.

I resolved the issue by replacing the GPU from GT610 to GT 730.

Sorry, here is your rewritten text:

My system specifications match the details provided:
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X
CPU cooler: Green Notus 400 ARGB
Motherboard: Asus Prime B550-Plus
Ram: Corsair VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 3200MHz 2x8GB
SSD/HDD: Swordfish M2 250GB/Seagate BarraCuda 2TB
GPU: Nvidia GT 610
PSU: Green 350W
Chassis: Green Pars Evo
OS: Windows 11
Monitor: Asus vx279h
Power supply worked for less than a year.
Until last night everything remained functional. I had managed to successfully overclock the RAM from 3200 16-20-20-38 to 3600 18-22-22-42, but this attempt failed.
I attempted to reset CMOS according to your guidance, yet the same beeps persisted. I used Asus CrashFree Bios 3 to recover BIOS, but the system still didn’t recognize the USB and emitted a short beep followed by a long beep, then restarted.
This wasn’t the first time I tried overclocking RAM; whenever I set an incorrect frequency, the issue arose (no further posting). Clearing CMOS resolved it before.
I’m uncertain what’s causing this problem now.

Have you looked into the beep codes in the manual or online resources?
Each motherboard maker usually employs a standard set of beep codes for all their products. Therefore, the codes for another Asus board might be relevant to your setup.
The beep code I occasionally encounter indicates that the GPU wasn't installed correctly.

Tested using a single RAM module, tried in various RAM slots. Did you adjust the DRAM voltage during OC tests? Too much voltage might have led to damage.

The codes seem to point to either a RAM or GPU issue. I've tried testing the GPU on another PC, which is functioning properly, but I don't have another machine with DDR4 RAM slots to verify the RAM. Recently, I had to restart the system multiple times, and each time it failed to load and required me to reconnect the HDMI cable so the monitor would display something. Could this be connected to the GPU? Additionally, every time I reset the BIOS, the system automatically adjusted certain BIOS settings to allow the GPU to load, though I'm not sure what those settings were or why they changed. My main concern is that the BIOS isn't detecting changes and isn't updating correctly now.

DRAM voltage was 1.35, configured by DOCP. I didn't adjust it at all. I attempted using a single RAM module in various slots and still got the same outcome.

I changed the ram sticks and it produced one long and two short beeps without restarting. After swapping the rams, removing the GPU, and then restarting, the pattern shifted to one long and three short beeps. I believe the issue might relate to the GPU, though I’m not sure what exactly is causing it.

Last week I upgraded the BIOS to version 3002.
Could updating the BIOS resolve such problems?

I checked the rams on a different PC; they functioned properly.
The rams and the GPU perform well on other systems.
What would you recommend?
