PC fails to start. Power-off occurs upon noticing the Windows logo.
My PC runs a Ryzen 7 2700X with an Asus Rog Strix B450 B450 gaming build. It has 8 GB RAM, 3200 MHz, and features Evga 750 Gq RX 580. The system uses an 8 GB SSD with 500 GB storage. After startup, the LEDs illuminate in a specific sequence—orange, red, orange, red, white—and then stay green. When I switch to the Windows icon, the LEDs turn off. I can access BIOS settings. CPU temperatures range from 37°C to 40°C as shown in BIOS. Booting normally requires the PC to shut down directly when the Windows icon appears. I attempted to reset the motherboard using a spare battery and swapped RAM modules, but that didn’t help. I took the machine outside for a few minutes, lowering the temperature slightly, and it worked again—only for that one case. The issue seemed linked to the power supply unit. The PSU provided incorrect voltage. I tried a new PSU and it resolved the problem. Sorry for the unclear writing. Edited November 9, 2019 by JerryG
