PC fails to start – MSI B350 Tomahawk / Ryzen 1200 setup
Hello everyone My PC has operated perfectly for over a year and a half. Recently I replaced my GTX 1050ti with the 1060. Everything seemed fine until I switched back to the 1050ti to run some tests and verify everything is functioning properly before selling it. After connecting the PC and turning it on, I forgot to connect the 6-pin power cable, which forced me to shut it down. Once the cable was plugged in, no display appeared and neither did the keyboard nor mouse LEDs. I suspect the hardware isn’t working. All fans and LEDs on the motherboard and GPU are operational. The EZ DEBUG lights showed a sequence: 1. CPU and DRAM ON simultaneously 2. CPU and DRAM OFF simultaneously 3. CPU ON then DRAM ON. 4. Both OFF together. This pattern repeated several times. What steps have I attempted to resolve this? First, I tested with one memory stick at a time, but it didn’t help. Then I reset the CMOS by removing the battery and shorting the CMOS pins. Next, I unplugged all drives and USB devices except the mouse and keyboard. Finally, I tried both graphics cards without success. It seems either the motherboard or power supply unit might be faulty. Are there any other actions I can take to troubleshoot? Looking to refresh the power connections seems like a logical first step, similar to what 191x7 mentioned about possibly adjusting a link during your GPU replacement.
