Hey! I just set up my first PC and it was running smoothly at first. It started up normally in the BIOS without any issues. The real problem appeared when I tried to boot from a USB drive with a Windows 11 ISO. That didn’t work, and even after unplugging the USB, it wouldn’t boot into the BIOS anymore. All I see is fans spinning and some lights flashing. I’ve tried resetting the CMOS, swapping CPUs, re-seating RAM, reinstalling the GPU—everything I could think of. Still nothing. Am I possibly damaged my computer? Anyone have any advice? I’m really worried I might have permanently broken it.

Remove the CMOS battery found on the motherboard, let it sit for 2-3 minutes, then try again. This will refresh the BIOS settings.

I actually gave it another try, but this time I waited a bit longer—about five minutes—and it worked again! Let's see if I can go ahead with the installation once more! Thanks! hah

It seems like an unusual situation is unfolding. You connected the drive to the motherboard and encountered the same issue again. Did you follow the correct procedure for transferring the Windows 11 ISO?

I’d like to try the Windows 11 installation media I usually use. It’s proven effective for installing both Windows 10 and 11. Make sure to wipe the USB drive of any files beforehand. https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

Okay! Only a slight problem, the trick is no longer working, and I am stuck with a dysfunctional PC again. I even left it out for 10 minutes this time (goodness I did not expect this stage to be as difficult as it is, I thought it would be smooth sailing after it was fully assembled )

Here are the system details: I may not be able to assist much longer since it's almost 4 AM and I need some rest. Consider swapping one RAM stick if you have two installed. If it doesn't boot with one, try using the other or test in a different slot.
