Updated from a 6800xt to a 4070ti super about two days ago. The overall system is working well, but after sleeping overnight I woke up this morning and the computer won’t start. When I power it on, the CPU light, DRAM light, and then the DRAM light stay on continuously.
I’ve tried removing one RAM module at a time to check if that’s the problem.
Attempted to run with integrated graphics but failed.
Verified all connections and reset the CMOS.
No help found so far. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Your motherboard includes a Flash BIOS button located at the back;
https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe...02v1.5.pdf
follow the instructions in page 41 of your motherboard manual, and check if it assists in bringing your build back to life.
The PCPartPicker Link indicates an RX5700XT, when did you switch to the RX6800XT and how long have you been using the PSU mentioned in that PCPP link?
Attempted to run with integrated graphics without success.
This won’t work because your Ryzen 3600x doesn’t have an iGPU. The only viable option for displaying output from this board is if you’re using an APU.
When powering on via the CPU light, the DRAM light appears, then the CPU light returns, and the DRAM light stays on continuously.
Consider transferring your processor to another functional motherboard with the appropriate BIOS version; if the problem continues, it may indicate a failure in the CPU’s integrated memory controller.
I'm sorry, I misidentified the correct link. I had to remove some items from my selection before making the change.
