PC fails to start after installing new RAM.
Hello, I have the following system in place:
CPU R5 7600
MB Gigabyte B650 Gaming x v1.3 (latest bios version)
RAM 2x8GB 5200MHz DDR5
GPU RTX3060 12GB
SSD 2x M.2 SSD's + 1x S-ata SSD
HDD 1x S-ata 7200rpm
PSU Super Flower Leadex 2 gold 650w
Cooler Silentium PC Fortis 5
I recently purchased a new memory kit from XPG. It consists of 2x16GB and carries the code AX5U6000C4016G-DCLABK.
I noted that with the previous memory setup (2x8GB 5200MHz), the computer functioned adequately.
After installing the new kit in two and four slots on the motherboard, I configured the BIOS to "load optimized defaults," saved the changes, and booted into Windows 11.
After a short wait, I restarted the PC, but it became stuck. The RAM indicator remained on, fans ran, and no screen appeared. After turning off the PC and restarting it, it booted normally. However, when I restarted again, the same issue occurred.
If I set the memory to EXPO 6000 40-40-40 1.35V (expo profile 1), the PC makes a single long beep and only boots after turning it off and resetting the BIOS from clear CMOS.
What steps should I take to ensure the XPG memory works properly with the EXPO profile?
Check if the system remains stable when using the new memory at standard speeds. Also, confirm whether your motherboard BIOS is completely current.
My bios is current. I haven't checked its stability, but I believe it may not work properly if it doesn't boot after a restart.
