Details: Motherboard model ROG STRIX B250G RAM Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 2400 Mhz DDR4 8x2GB CL16 CPU i5-7500k Power supply Corsair RM 750 I enabled XMP profile 1 after saving and closing BIOS, but the system displayed black and didn<|pad|> page. I reset CMOS, rechecked CPU, used one RAM stick, tried different slots, shorted clear CMOS pins. Ordered new RAM but unsure if it helps. After shorting CLR CMOS pins, the computer booted from a dual boot and reset button stopped working.

You won't improve performance by jumping from 2133mhz to 2400mhz, but maybe the low-end board could benefit from a higher voltage for the RAM.

The method wasn't specified directly; I assumed a typical approach to shorting CMOS pins.

It seems the device was disconnected from the power source.
