PC fails to start after a power-off event.
Hello.
In brief, suddenly my PC stopped resuming tasks after waking it up using the keyboard or mouse. Right now, any key press causes the system to power on again, but there are no LEDs and it doesn’t boot into Windows normally.
To fix this, I had to forcefully shut down the computer by holding the power button, then restarting it, which then boots as expected.
I recall only changing the BIOS setting to enable "FAIL WARNING OF FAN," but I’m unsure how that would influence the boot process.
I also have "keyboard wake-up" enabled in the BIOS (previously disabled) and confirmed that all HID keyboards and mice support waking via keyboard.
In the BIOS, I changed the fan warning setting, though I still don’t see a clear impact on the boot state.
UPDATE: currently, when the system is running but not booting, the LEDs are off but briefly illuminate for 1–2 seconds every five minutes.
