Attempting to install Windows Update shows an issue, prompting a reinstallation warning. The system claims it doesn’t meet Windows 11 requirements despite being factory new. It has a Ryzen 7 processor, 16GB RAM, RTX 3060 graphics, and multiple SSDs. The problem seems to stem from the fake error message. No updates will proceed until this obstacle is resolved.

It doesn't explicitly mention which condition is unmet. You should verify if the fTPM is turned off in the BIOS settings.

It has been running continuously since purchase. It tries to apply a 2024-11 cumulative update preview for Windows 11 version 23H2 on x64 systems but encounters issues.

The update didn’t provide details, only that a failure occurred. Please use the repair tool to reinstall your Windows version and fix the system files so you can proceed.

It explains the issue and points to a Microsoft guide. The problem is updating a reserved partition, which Microsoft addresses in their support documentation.

They set aside a very limited partition that couldn't be modified later. This appears to be the cause of the update failure, but the fix seems to be quite poor. It might be best to reach out to HP for assistance with their problems. The advice is based on Windows 10, though the required space could be larger for Windows 11. If the process causes issues, they could hold you accountable for damaging the computer. I recommend HP support taking the blame. Hope this clears things up.

Could using DiskPart and adjusting the partitions help? Shrinking the Windows partition by about 100 MB and moving it to the EFI partition might be effective.

I resolved it by using an online guide to remove “font” files from the reserve area, and it functioned properly. If the system had crashed, I would have reset the drive and installed a new operating system.
