A short while ago, I powered down my PC to refresh it. I opened the side panels, used a CompuCleaner to blow some air in (carefully blowing on the CPU fan), and that’s all. It turned out there was no dust and it didn’t require cleaning. When I reinserted it, everything worked perfectly. After a few attempts with different steps—resetting CMOS, removing the battery briefly, checking connections, swapping cables—I still faced issues. Eventually, I tried connecting all my external cables and it started up normally. Once online, it shuts down and restarts without problems. However, I noticed something odd: my BIOS displayed an incorrect time after a reset. Further testing showed that if I unplugged the power supply from its cable and then reconnected it, the same problem repeated—PC wouldn’t turn on at all, but after a few minutes of waiting and reattaching, it would boot again, with the BIOS resetting itself. Occasionally, if I unplugged it and plugged it back in about 30 seconds later, it worked fine. This pattern suggests something might be interfering with power delivery or initialization. It’s worth mentioning that I recently installed a new case about six months ago, and this is the first time I’ve unplugged my PC since then. I also had a technician confirm my PSU was functioning properly, with fans spinning right away and all voltages normal. I changed the motherboard battery and double-checked every cable, removed the GPU, and switched outlets—using a 1000W power supply (RM1000e, ATX 4090, 16GB RAM, Z490 Tomahawk). The PSU is around one year old, while the motherboard is nearly three years old.

It's just a small fix I made to the PC bluescreen BIOS, but do you have boot LEDs that appear like this DSOE? It keeps getting stuck on a light.

Checking the EZ Debug lights while powering on your PC. Have you experienced similar problems before?
